Atlanta, Mr and Mrs Smith and Community star Donald Glover previously hinted he’d retire his musical output as Childish Gambino. But in a recent interview the talented polymath said he never went away – “I just completed all my side quests”.

Overnight Childish Gambino dropped new album Atavista, which is a new version of his 2020 album 3.15.20. Two brand new tracks, Atavista and Human Sacrifice, have been included on the new release.

He’s also announced a global tour, called The New World Tour, including dates in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth in February 2025.

The trip to Australia is his first visit since 2019, where he performed at Splendour in the Grass and various sideshows.

Childish Gambino will be supported by American singer-songwriter Amaarae across all his shows.
